A Taiwanese media outlet in China, A Google Self-Developed Smart Bracelet design patent suspected of being developed by Google has been exposed recently. Google acquired the wearable device company Fitbit before and may launch corresponding products in the future.
In the relevant documents of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, a design patent for a suspected smart bracelet has recently appeared. According to the document, the bracelet uses a screenless design with a sensor element that can track body dynamics, which seems to be a bit similar to the smart bracelet previously launched by Fitbit. From the design point of view, Google’s smart bracelet patent is indeed similar to the earlier Fitbit smart bracelet, and uses a fixed strap wearing method, but does not have any screen that can display instant data information.

Judging from the current Google Assistant digital service applied to Fitbit’s wearable devices, it is expected that the Google Self-Developed Smart Bracelet will also support the Google Assistant function, and can be operated by voice, and will also support simple interaction using gestures. However, it is currently unable to confirm whether Google plans to launch this patented design product. After all, after acquiring Fitbit, Google seems to have no need to invest in the research and development of smart wearable devices.
