After an extended period of waiting and speculation, Xiaomi has finally announced Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro smartphones will debut in China on December 28, 2020. But ahead of the official launch of Mi 11 Series smartphones, a Chinese third-party store JD.com has already started the Pre-Orders of Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro.
The JD.com store listing shows that the first sale date of Mi 11 Pro maybe New Year’s Day 2021, and its starting price is still uncertain whether it can be maintained at the previous generation’s 3999 yuan ($611).
Judging from the pricing of Mi phones in the past, the overall trend is rising. Therefore, the starting price of Mi 11 may be more than 4000 yuan ($611), and the price of the Pro version maybe starting from 5000 yuan ($764).
In terms of specifications, in each device, we will see Bluetooth 5.1, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, support for 5th-generation mobile networks and an AMOLED display with curved edges, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a built-in biometric sensor. At the same time, Xiaomi Mi 11 will receive an FHD + matrix, and the Pro version will have a Quad HD + screen.
One of the key differences between smartphones will be the main camera. The standard edition will borrow it from the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro. The resolution will be 108MP + 13MP + 5MP. Optical stabilization and video recording in 8K ULTRA HD format with a frame rate of 30 fps will also be announced. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro will have a main camera with a resolution of 50MP + 20MP + 12MP.
Both models will receive the Android 11 operating system out of the box. The MIUI 12.5 proprietary firmware will act as a software add-on, which the company will begin to distribute at the end of 2020. Also from the total, we note 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a UFS 3.1 drive with a capacity of 128/256/512GB. Xiaomi Mi 11 will receive a 4970mAh battery with 55-watt fast charging, while the Mi 11 Pro will be equipped with a 4780mAh battery, and the charging power will be 100 watts.
