The Asus ROG Phone 5 will not take long to be official, it was recently certified by the authorities TENAA and 3C of China. Today, the smartphone appeared in the Geekbench database. It appears that the Taiwanese technology giant may be testing the equipment’s performance before making it official.
On the Geekbench, the phone received as much as 16GB of RAM with the code name “I005DA”. The smartphone scored 1131 points in the single-core tests and 3729 points in the multi-core tests. These results are in line with the other smartphones tested with the Snapdragon 888 processor, as is the case with the Xiaomi Mi 11, which obtained 1135 and 3818 points, respectively.
Today’s test again confirms the more-than-expected presence of the Snapdragon 888 on this smartphone, but it also reveals the aforementioned 16GB RAM and software, whose version is Android 11.
But in addition to this, it is known that the Asus ROG Phone 5 (ASUS_I005DA) will have quite large dimensions 172.834 x 77.252 x 10.29 mm, a 6.78 inch screen (AMOLED, 120 or 144 Hz) and a battery with a capacity of 6000mAh. The device can be quickly recharged with a 65W charger. The main camera of the triple photo section is to have 64MP. The system installed on the phone is Android 11.
As you would expect from a 2021 smartphone, the Asus ROG Phone 5 will have access to the 5G network, thanks to its Qualcomm processor. In terms of aesthetics, the images that we had access to previously reveal an evolutionary design compared to the ROG Phone 3, with the same colors and lines, but including a small rear screen. Also note that, like its predecessor, the new smartphone will have three rear photo sensors, however, there is no information about the sensors. The official launch date for the Asus ROG Phone 5 is also still a mystery, so we will have to wait for more official information from Asus.
