Syllable is a headphone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. It makes various Bluetooth headphones and this is the second review that here at igeekphone.com we make for this kind of earphones. The first one was sometime ago for the Syllable In-Ear Wireless Sport Earphones for Running with Mic. This time we are going to review the Syllable D900 Mini Bluetooth earphones.
Package
The Syllable D900 Mini Bluetooth earphones came to me well protected with bubbles. Inside I found a square box, of recycled paper with the logo of Syllable and a small sticker saying that the box contains the new Syllable D900 mini earphones.
Opening the box, we find inside it the Syllable D900 Mini wireless earbuds, Battery case, Drawstring pouch, micro USB charging cable, Extra pair of ear tips, User manual in many languages.
The drawstring pouch looks very luxurious and very beautiful. It’s the first time I come across something like thing in earphones…impressed! The manual is written in many languages, very detailed and helpful in order to function the D900 mini earphones. The USB charging cable comes without the unit for the wall, so charging can be done only at a pc or if you have a power-line like Xiaomi which I have and has 3 USB sockets for charging devices. The Extra pair of ear tips are 4 in number, all in different sizes, so no matter what, these should fit in your ear comfortably in case you need to change them. The battery case works as a wireless charging dock that doubles as a carrying case, along with a micro USB cable.
Design
The Syllable D900 Mini are really very light. They weight only 4.5 grams. Syllable has kept the overall curved triangular shape for the D900 Mini, and it works well on how it is worn inside the ear. This serves to power the earbud on/off, initiate pairing/syncing, answer/end calls, and pause and resume music playback. The button can not adjust volume or advance music tracks. Each earbud has an electrical contact for the charging case, a tiny status LED and a built in microphone on the left earbud.
Features
The Syllable D900 Mini I could say that they are a State of Art for Headphone Design, They are virtually wireless, since no cables hung out of them. Like Syllable In-Ear Wireless Sport Earphones for Running with Mic that had a cable connecting them, the D900 mini have nothing. They feature the latest Noise Cancelling technology, maximizing the Noise reduction, I found myself shouting to others when listening to the music, as I couldn’t understand how high my voice was! The sound that comes out of them is really very crystal. The D900 Mini produces some excellent sound for how small they are. Audio is crystal clear, plays a deep bass and is an overall enjoyable experience. Without any cables, you can enjoy the sound they play anywhere, and without any interruptions, too. According to the company, the D900 mini are Sweat Proof. To be honest I didn’t test them at this as I don’t run lately, but I believe them. They come preassigned to each other, so all you need is to pair the one and then set the second to find the first. The Syllable D900 MINI wireless earbuds have Bluetooth 4.1 + EDR: Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP), Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), Hands-free Profile (HFP) and Headset Profile (HSP).
Battery
The battery case works as a wireless charging dock that doubles as a carrying case, along with a micro USB cable. Each earbud fits into its own slot in the case and immediately starts charging when the magnetic cover to the case is closed. A row of four blue LEDs in front of the earbuds provides the charging status. A micro USB port on the side allows for easy charging. It takes about 30 minutes for a full charge that provides up to 2 hours of continuous talk or music play. The battery built into the charging case provides 4-6 charges to the earbuds before the case itself require recharging.

I have to admit that the Syllable D900 Mini is an amazing piece of technology and art. The low profile design is probably the best thing about these, as they truly aren’t noticeable when you put them in. The finishing on the earpiece settles in the curve of your ear to hold it steady in one place.
