MediaTek has already begun announcing the world’s first 4-nanometer chipset for smartphones, which they say will be their product. We do not know how well this claim is, but we hear that there are several manufacturers of this particular chipset. One of these is the Vivo, which may be the first device to cross the one million point limit in an AnTuTu measurement as an Android device.
The pair of well-known informants IceUniverse and Digital Chat Station have now independently published a screenshot from the AnTuTu benchmark, in which an unknown Vivo phone surpassed the 1 million point mark for the first time.
This phone of Vivo bears the code number V2184 and the chipset MT6983, and according to unofficial information, its sales name should be Dimensity 2000. For comparison, the most powerful phones with Android so far (eg the game Red Magic 6) gain around 850,000 points in the same benchmark.
According to the DCS server, the Dimensity 2000 processor unit should consist of one high-performance Cortex-X2 core, three powerful Cortex-A710 cores, and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. The Mali-G710 MC10 chip will then take care of the graphic operations.
If MediaTek wants to claim in its marketing materials that it has the first mobile chipset that has surpassed one million points in AnTuT, it should not delay its introduction. On November 30, Qualcomm will unveil its new Snapdragon 898 chipset, which will probably also cross this border.
