Huawei Mate 50 Leaks: Snapdragon 8 Gen1, LTPO 144Hz Display

Today we are revealing the rendering design drawings of Huawei Mate 50. In this set of design drawings, Huawei Mate50 has an additional secondary screen on the back of the phone, and the design idea is very unique.

Like the standard version of Huawei Mate50, it will not be equipped with a hyperbolic screen design. Although the manufacturing cost of the hyperbolic screen is high, there are still many consumers who do not buy it, because many consumers still prefer to face the screen, so the Huawei Mate50 should be very popular among these consumers. This time, Huawei Mate50 uses a single-hole camera on the screen, and the borders around the screen are very narrow. The screen material is still from BOE, supports the third-generation LTPO technology, and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

One of the reasons why Huawei Mate 50 is highly anticipated by consumers is that Huawei will put extremely innovative designs on the Mate series every time. This time, Huawei Mate50 obviously brings a completely different experience to consumers. Although Huawei Mate50 is not the first Huawei mobile phone with a secondary screen design, Huawei Mate50 is the first model with a secondary screen in the Mate series. Huawei Mate50 integrates the secondary screen and camera module this time, and the size is not very large. It seems that the secondary screen of Huawei Mate50 selects fixed menus by sliding. Of course, these menus can be set in the system model.

The camera appearance of Huawei Mate 50 did not choose to continue to retain the circular design but was laid out in a module integrated with the secondary screen. Huawei Mate50 still includes four camera lenses, including a very obvious periscope telephoto lens, which is still 64 Megapixels if nothing else. Huawei has released a mobile phone with 100 Megapixels, which shows that Huawei no longer limits the main camera to 50 Megapixels. This time, Huawei Mate50 will also upgrade the main camera to 100 Megapixels, and the ultra-wide-angle and primary color lenses are still 50 Megapixels.

For performance configuration, even if Huawei Mate 50 does not have a Kirin chip, everyone should still accept this status quo. Judging from the status of Huawei P50Pro and Huawei P50Pocket, Huawei mobile phones will still be popular with consumers even if they do not have Kirin chips. As a standard version, it is very likely to be equipped with Kirin 9000L. This chip is being used on Huawei Mate40EPro, so it is not impossible to carry it on Huawei Mate50. Other versions of Huawei Mate50 will be equipped with a better Snapdragon 8 processor, but may not be equipped with 5G.

This design solution is not impossible, the performance of Kirin 9000L is slightly weaker, but it supports a 5G network. The performance of the Snapdragon 8 processor is strong, but it does not support 5G networks. As far as these parameter configurations are concerned, the two-parameter configurations can still complement each other. However, when it is released in the second half of the year, the Huawei Mate50 will most likely be close to the iPhone14 launch time.
