Huawei officially announced today that it will hold a press conference on April 28 at 19:00 PM to unveil the Mate Xs 2, the next generation of huawei Mate series foldable flagship.
Yu chengdong said in his article that as the leader of folding machine track, Huawei has continuously broken through technological bottlenecks. From the industry-initiated Mate X eagle wing folding hinge technology to Mate X2 patented dual-spin water drop hinge technology, to the vertical seamless folding aesthetic form of P50 Pocket, Huawei has continuously led the innovation of the industry.
“HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 is our fifth foldable flagship and will go beyond what you can imagine for a foldable phone,” he stressed.
According to the official poster, Huawei Mate Xs 2 seems to inherit the external folding scheme of its predecessor Mate Xs. This design is very different from the current mainstream internal folding scheme, because the screen is placed on the outside of the body, and the whole machine has only one screen.
Huawei pioneered the eagle wing folding design in the previous generation Mate Xs, in which the eagle wing hinge structure is composed of 100+ precision devices and uses a four-layer structure: The top layer is a polymer screen protective layer, the second layer is a flexible screen, the third layer is a soft adhesive support plate, and the bottom layer is a rotating shaft that can seamlessly support and fold the Mate Xs screen.

Huawei’s Mate Xs 2 is also expected to bring a more powerful design in terms of hinges, screen and more, which is very much to be expected.
