How to disable ads on my phone: complete instruction for users in 2022

Modern marketing uses every opportunity available to expand the reach of users. Smartphones and smart gadgets are no exception. Literally, every device has built-in apps that frequently display ads on the screen and monitor user actions.

According to DataReportal, the most vulnerable category of users to advertising are fans of social networks with digital content. The potential audience for displaying ads on Instagram, for example, is 1.5 billion people aged 13 to 50, and each spends an average of 11 hours per month viewing photos, videos, and stories.

The situation is similar for YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok users who spend their time in apps for 24, 20, and 20 hours a month, respectively. At the same time, each consumer sees about 100 commercials, banners, or images daily. Is there any way to combat aggressive marketing and mitigate privacy risks? Yes, of course. Now we will tell you how to do it!

How do I disable ads on my phone?

First, let’s deal with smartphone manufacturers because each of them collects user data, processes it, and even sells it to marketing agencies. Today we will focus on the Android platform because this OS leads the wearable gadget market with a share of 71.85%, according to StatCounter.

As for South Korean brands, many consumers wonder how to disable ads on Samsung phones. It’s not a very difficult task because this brand does not embed marketing algorithms into its shells. That’s right, OneUI refers to “clean” systems with no advertising banners in the interface. But the situation immediately changes when you install third-party software or a game.

How to disable ads on an app? To remove annoying marketing offers, you can use as many as 3 methods:

    1. Cut the code from the program using Root access. It’s not the safest option because it often leads to either data leakage or problems with the device. Recommended for experienced users only.
    2. Install modified .apk without ads. Actually, security experts do not recommend installing software from third-party sources. We agree with them — it is not the best idea because attackers can still gain access to the device.
    3. Use a trusted blocker. It is the best option in which you do not risk personal information and device performance. Yes, some ad blockers collect user data, but only for the purpose of optimizing ad blocking algorithms.

These methods allow you to disable ads on an android phone and optimize its performance in general. But for smartphones from Chinese manufacturers, not all of the above options are suitable because most well-known brands from the Middle Kingdom use their own frameworks with built-in algorithms for displaying ads.

How to disable ads on Xiaomi phones? Firstly, you should remove spam and banners from system apps. To do this, go to the settings section and uncheck “Show recommendations”. It takes approximately 5 minutes and is a one-time process. As for all other game apps, web pages, and even video content, we recommend using a modern AWAX ad blocker.

    AWAX features:

    • Local VPN with the filter system.
    • Save traffic by blocking ads.
    • Reduced battery consumption.
    • Disable all marketing creatives.
    • Optimization of the device.

Using AWAX, you remove malicious code from addresses, disable tracking of actions and requests, remove all ads, and optimize device performance. Install AWAX and dive into content without marketing!
