Design & Appearance
The Onexplayer Mini weighs a total of 620 grams and measures 260 x 106 x 23 mm. So it’s slightly smaller than Valve’s Steam Deck. Two USB-C ports (1x USB 4, 1x USB 3.2 Gen2) and USB-A (3.2 Gen1) can also be used on the housing. There is also a 3.5 mm jack socket.
The Onexplayer Mini is similar to other Onexplayer models. The 7 inch (17.8 cm) IPS display in 16:10 format has a maximum resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels. The low resolution is intentional, since games in Full HD usually cannot be rendered smoothly without a dedicated graphics unit. A touchscreen is integrated in the display. There are also two analog sticks, a control pad, action buttons and other macro keys on the sides. Along with four shoulder triggers, most controller-controlled games should be playable.
Hardware and Performance
The novelty is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 6800U hybrid processor based on the Zen 3+ architecture with 8 cores and 16 threads. This chip operates at a frequency of 2.7 to 4.7 GHz. There is also 16/32 GB of RAM and 512 GB to 2 TB of permanent memory in the form of an NVMe SSD.
Battery and other Features
The console is powered by a 10,455mAh battery and comes with 100W GaN charging. Thanks to this, you can charge the set-top box battery up to 50% in just 20 minutes. A full charge will take less than an hour. OneXplayer Mini runs on the Windows 11 operating system. The Game Control Center application is installed on the set-top box, which is the control center of the console.
In it, for example, you can select the desired settings for the power consumption of the set-top box, change the speed of the CO fan, and so on. The application is also responsible for changing the image resolution in games and installing operating system updates. For compatibility with most video games and stores, the laptop comes equipped with Windows 11. Another very interesting fact is the Thunderbolt 4 port, so it would be possible to add a portable GPU to the console.
