Honor 80 series will launch at Honor MagicOS and Flagship Launch event on November 23 at 14:30, but there will be no Snapdragon 8 Gen2 as expected. Honor officially announced that Honor 80 Pro will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 flagship chip.
From the footnote in the lower right corner of the poster, we can see that Honor 80 standard edition is not the Snapdragon 778G Plus as you imagine, but the first Qualcomm Snapdragon 782G processor. The strongest Honor 80 Pro version uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 flagship platform, but only 3.0GHz.
According to digital blogger @Digital Chat Site, the chip uses a low-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8+ and contains a 3.0GHz Cortex-X2 super-large core, three 2.5GHz Cortex-A710 mega-cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A510 mini-cores. The Snapdragon 8+ is 1 x 3.2GHz X2 + 3 x 2.75GHz A710+ 4 x 2.0GHz A510.
Billed as a “new aesthetic benchmark,” Honor 80 series officially boasts a front-facing “pill-shaped” camera module. In addition, the rear camera module of the phone forms an “8” shape, which echoes the name. The texture on the back of the body is like blue waves, which is very design sense.
As previously revealed, there will be three versions of Honor 80 series, including Honor 80 SE, Honor 80 and Honor 80 Pro.
It is also revealed that Honor 80 SE will be equipped with Mediatek Dimensity 1080 chip, 50-megapixel dual-camera dual-hole micro-curved screen in the front, 160-megapixel f / 1.8 triple-camera in the back, Snapdragon 8+Gen1 processor and 66W flash charger battery.
