Top 10 Smartphones With the Fastest Charging Speed In the Market

At the end of 2022, although there are no surprises in the technological progress in the field of smartphones, the fast-charging feature of phones has improved significantly compared to before. Gone are the days of charging your phone overnight to use it during the day. With today’s charging technology, a phone can be fully charged in 10 minutes. It might sound crazy, but it’s true.

It is proud that this revolutionary charging technology was created by Chinese phones, which have conquered the city and achieved breakthroughs in charging. In contrast, smartphone giants such as Apple and Samsung have not yet made exciting breakthroughs in this field.

Think back to 2022 when smartphones with 120W charging were the fastest, but now our phones can even support 200W charging. Here is a list of the top 10 smartphones with the fastest charging speed in the world. so you can get to know them and help you make your choice.

How were these phone charging rankings determined?

The charging data for the phones below were collected from various authoritative websites and YouTube videos around the world, also keep in mind that charging times vary depending on conditions, so you may notice different results when charging. When foreign authorities rank these mobile phones, because the battery capacity of the mobile phones in the list is different, they calculate the battery capacity (mAh) charged per minute.

    1. Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition (10 minutes and 10 seconds to fully charge, charging rate: 430mAh per minute)

Xiaomi’s new smartphone, the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition, ranks first in terms of charging speed. The 210W charging it comes with is by far the fastest on any phone. While charging is one of the phone’s strengths, it’s no slouch in other hardware, either. The Note 12 Explorer Edition is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset built on a 6nm manufacturing process. It comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. There is a 200MP triple camera system on the rear and a 16MP camera for selfies.

The Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition features a 4300mAh battery that can be charged to 66% in 5 minutes and 100% in about nine minutes. The folks at Charger Labs tested the phone to verify the claim. In their tests, the phone was found to take about 10 minutes and 10 seconds to fully charge. The maximum charging output recorded was 184W, while the peak temperature was as high as 43.3 degrees Celsius.

2.iQOO 10 Pro (13 minutes and 30 seconds to fully charge, charging rate: 348mAh per minute)

A few months ago, the iQOO 10 Pro was the fastest-charging phone in the world, but it has now slipped to second place. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset paired with a dedicated V1 Plus (ISP). You can get the iQOO 10 Pro in three options, with the top model boasting 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage.

The iQOO 10 Pro sports a triple camera setup at the rear with a 50MP GN5 primary sensor, a 50MP secondary lens with 150-degree FOV, and a 14.6MP sensor with up to 40x digital zoom. On the front, it has a 16MP camera for selfies.

iQOO 10 Pro brings 200W fast charging, and it is estimated that the 4700mAh battery can be fully charged in 10 minutes. According to charging tests conducted by several YouTuber authors, iQOO’s statement is not true. In the real world, the smartphone takes about 13 minutes and 30 seconds — 3 minutes more than the self-published time. Of course, this is already very shocking.

    3. Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro (18 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 277mAh per minute)

The Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro is the only gaming phone to make the list of the fastest-charging phones. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. The phone has a dedicated Red Core 1 gaming chip that improves gaming-related tasks. In terms of cameras, the phone features a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor.

The Red Magic 7 Pro packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 135W charging — but the company only includes a 65W charger in the box. In charging tests, it was found that the phone can be fully charged in about 18 minutes using a supported charger.

    4. OnePlus 10R (18 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 250mAh per minute)

OnePlus has entered the ultra-fast charging arena with the OnePlus 10R. The phone supports 150W charging, which according to OnePlus can fully charge your phone in about 17 minutes. The phone was able to fully charge the 4500mAh battery in about 18 minutes in multiple tests.

The OnePlus 10R model is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset clocked at 2.85GHz. The phone features a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP macro sensor.

    5. OnePlus 10T (19 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 252mAh per minute)

The OnePlus 10T, unlike the OnePlus 10R, is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. The phone is available in two configurations, with the top model coming with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. In the camera section, the phone features a 50MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.

The OnePlus 10T is powered by a 4800mAh battery, which charges in about 19 minutes using the included 160W SuperVOOC charger. The brand advertises a charging time of around 19 minutes, and the phone manages to do that in most cases.

    6. Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro (21 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 238mAh per minute)

The Mi 11T Pro launches in the second half of 2021, but it’s still one of the fastest-charging phones in the world. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. In the camera section, the Mi 11T Pro is equipped with a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP macro sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for selfies.

The Mi 11T Pro packs a massive 5000mAh battery that can be charged via the company’s 120W HyperCharge technology. It turned out that it took about 21 minutes to charge the phone from 0 to 100%. Interestingly, the 5000mAh battery is split in half to keep the phone from overheating.

    7. Trueme GT Neo 3 (close to 19 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 237mAh per minute)

The Realme GT Neo 3 is the world’s first commercial smartphone to use 150W fast charging. It was demonstrated at Mobile World Congress 2022 and released a few months later. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset clocked at 2.8GHz. It packs up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. At the rear, there is a 50MP triple camera system and a 16MP selfie camera.

The Realme GT Neo 3 uses UltraDart charging to recharge the 4500mAh battery inside. It is claimed that the phone can be fully charged in about 17 minutes using a 150W charger. The charging time from 0 to 100% came in close to 19 minutes in actual use, which is pretty close to what the company claims.

8.iQOO 9 Pro (20 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 235mAh per minute)

The iQOO 9 Pro was released earlier this year with top-of-the-line hardware. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The phone features a 50MP Samsung Isocell GN5 sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 16MP portrait lens with 2.5x optical zoom.

The phone is one of the fastest among phones with 120W charging. It charges the 4700mAh capacity battery in about 20 minutes.

    9. Xiaomi Mi 12 Pro (21 minutes full charge, charging rate: 219mAh per minute)

The Mi 12 Pro is a flagship that competes directly with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and iPhone 13 Pro. The phone has a basic design, but the hardware on offer is solid. It features a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. In the camera section, the phone has three 50MP sensors on the rear and a single 32MP shooter on the front.

The Mi 12 Pro has a 4600mAh battery that can be charged using the included 120W HyperCharge fast charger. It takes about 24 minutes to fully charge the phone. However, with Boost mode on, it only took about 21 minutes.

10.iQOO 9T (23 minutes to fully charge, charging rate: 204mAh per minute)

The iQOO 9T may be at the bottom of this list, but its charging tech is no slouch. The phone packs a 4700mAh battery, which iQOO claims can be charged in about 20 minutes via its 120W charging technology. When tested, the phone managed to fully charge the battery in about 23 minutes. That’s pretty impressive, especially considering that Apple and Samsung’s flagships take over an hour to fully charge.

The iQOO 9T is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, it houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling.
