As previously reported by screen analyst Ross Young, Apple will introduce a supersized 15.5-inch MacBook Air in April, the largest in the series’ history.
Apple Supply Chain is already producing 15.5-inch panels for the device.
According to the latest reports from the overseas supply chain, MacBook Air will be equipped with a traditional LCD panel, and there will be no OLED upgrade. Apple will not bring an upgrade to the screen texture of the macbook Air until 2024 at the earliest.
Of course, in addition to the oversized screen, the new MacBook Air will also have Apple’s M2 chip and is expected to include a Pro version.
The chip, built using TSMC’s second-generation 5nm process, has a total of 40 billion transistors, nearly 20% more than the M1 Pro chip and twice as many as the M2 chip.
In terms of Gpus, the M2 Pro’s graphics processor is up to 19 cores, three more than the M1 Pro chip, and uses a larger L2 cache. The graphics processing speed is 30% higher than that of the M1 Pro chip, and the graphics processing performance is greatly improved, bringing an experience comparable to that of a game console.
Thanks to the size upgrade, there will also be significantly more interior space, and the new MacBook Air will have a bigger battery, which will probably last a horrible 20 hours.
