Last week, Honor Magic5 series was unveiled overseas. This afternoon, we also held a press conference in China, where we launched three new models: Honor Magic5, Honor Magic5 Pro, Honor Magic5 and Honor Magic5 to the Advanced Edition, among which the advanced edition is only available in China.
In terms of appearance, Honor Magic 5 series inherits the previous generation’s family design of the Eye of Muse, and the rear shooting part is integrated with the inspiration of the universe. The star wheel three-shot design is still in the center circular scheme, and the suspension streamline four curved screen + integrated curved back shell design is adopted. The transition is very natural and smooth.
The latest edition has made an obvious upgrade, into the design language of luxury watches, the use of octagonal gem mirror, with plain leather body, full luxury atmosphere.
In terms of hardware, the Honor Magic5 is a huge improvement across the board, including the standard version with a 6.73-inch OLED screen, low-frequency LTPS technology, 1224×2688 resolution and 120Hz dynamic refresh rate.
The Honor Magic5 Pro and the Perfect Edition go a step further with a 6.81-inch OLED screen with a 1312×2848 resolution and LTPO adaptive dynamic refresh rate of 1-120Hz, enabling forward-thinking 3D-level face recognition that is both faster and more secure.
The screen scored 151 points in a test by authoritative DXOMARK, making it the best in the world, beating the iPhone 14 Pro.
All three screens support the highest 2160Hz high frequency PWM dimming, can significantly improve visual comfort, like natural light eye protection, relieve continuous long-term use of the cycloid muscle tension, reduce eye fatigue.
It is worth mentioning that the Honor Magic5 is also equipped with ultra curved nanocrystalline glass, which improves the fall resistance by 10 times.
In terms of core configuration, the whole series of Honor Magic5 is standard equipped with the second-generation Snapdragon 8 platform, whose performance is very familiar to everyone. It is the strongest performance and power consumption optimization in Qualcomm in the past three years. The whole series of Honor Magic5 is also equipped with LPDDR5X+UFS4.0 high-performance storage combination, with strong performance output.
Combined with GPU Turbo X technology, it achieves higher frame rate with the same configuration but lower heat and power consumption through super scheduling and super frame rate.
Honor Magic5 series also brings exclusive self-developed technology in signal this time, the first Honor self-developed RF enhancement chip C1, which can greatly improve the level of cellular and WiFi communication, even in the garage, elevator, high-speed rail and other scenes can be continuously online.
The Honor Magic5 series also brings a new battery technology breakthrough for the battery life embarrassment of current high-end machines. The Honor Magic5 has a built-in 5100mAh battery and supports 66W wired fast charge.
Honor Magic5 Pro/ Advanced version is the first to launch the Qinghai Lake battery technology and the industry’s first silicon carbon negative battery technology. This is the first commercial use of silicon carbon negative battery technology in mobile phone products. The negative energy density is 16% higher than that of ordinary graphite negative battery, reaching 5450mAh capacity, but the body is obviously thinner. There are also 50-megapixel super wide-angle main camera and 50-megapixel hidden telephoto main camera. Supports up to 100x digital zoom and long focal macro photography.
Most importantly, this honor also brought new hawk-eye camera technology, from the end-to-end full link experience optimization, to create the industry’s best capture experience, through the protagonist’s focus pursuit, protagonist forecast lock focus setting, eagle eye wonderful capture in the portrait scene shooting, accurate automatic focus of the protagonist, so as to achieve more accurate capture imaging.
It also allows the Honor Magic5 series to achieve faster shooting speed during night shots, compared with up to 10 shots taken on an iPhone.
Thanks to this powerful video system, Honor Magic5 Pro also won the first place in the DXOMARK test in the world, scoring 152 points, surpassing Huawei Mate50 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
