The smartphone market constantly evolves, and tech enthusiasts are always looking for the latest and most excellent devices. Recently, a new mobile phone from Xiaomi appeared on the benchmark website, which is expected to be the Poco F5 Standard Edition.
Previously, the Xiaomi PocoF5 Pro appeared on the Geekbench website, and now the new model, with the model number Xiaomi 23049PCD8G, has also been spotted on the benchmark website. This device is equipped with Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chips and 12GB of RAM, which is expected to be the Poco F5 Standard Edition.
Snapdragon India has confirmed that this device is indeed the PocoF5 and is expected to be the first phone in India to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip. This chip is built on TSMC’s 4nm process and is said to bring about a 50% overall performance improvement, a 13% energy efficiency improvement, and a 2x AI performance improvement compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Geekbench running scores show that the Poco F5 has a single-core score of 1629 and a multi-core score of 4295. These scores indicate that the device will offer impressive performance and can easily handle heavy multitasking and demanding applications.
The configuration specifications of the Poco F5 are pretty similar to those of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo. Therefore, it is expected that the PocoF5 will be a different name version of the same product. The Poco F5 will have a 5000mAh battery, 67W fast charge, and a pre-installed MIUI 14 system based on Android 13. Additionally, the device will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen and a rear 64MP primary camera.
Compared to the previous generation of Poco F4, which uses the Snapdragon 870 chip, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip CPU (large core frequency 2.92GHz) will bring more obvious performance improvements. This means that the Poco F5 will be able to handle more intensive tasks and offer users a smoother and more seamless experience.
