IGeekphone January 10 news, Lenovo launched the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid at CES 2024, the biggest highlight is that it can flexibly switch between Windows 11 and Android systems to meet the different needs of users.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED screen and will default to Windows 11 when connected to a keyboard, but will automatically switch to Android when the keyboard is removed and turned into a tablet.
Lenovo plans to launch the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid in the second quarter of 2024, with an estimated price tag of $2,000.
Lenovo has tried dual systems several times before, and the IdeaPad U1 in 2011 similarly combined Windows and Android into a single device.
Samsung introduced Ativ Q in 2013, allowing users to switch between Windows and Android by simply pressing an icon.
There are not many products that still support dual systems, but the laptop-tablet hybrid has matured, and Lenovo’s attempt to revive the concept is very interesting.
Similar to Lenovo’s old IdeaPad U1, the new ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid tablet uses a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, runs Android 13 and has a 38Whr battery. The base is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and has a 75Whr battery.

The keyboard dock and screen both work independently, switching to Windows when connected and acting as an Android tablet when split.
