Chuwi GemiBook Plus N150 Review: Work, Play, Anywhere

Habib QaziBy Habib QaziMay 7, 2025
Facebook Twitter Pinterest LinkedIn Tumblr Email

The Chuwi GemiBook Plus N150 positions itself as an all-around companion for work and play. Sporting the Intel Twin Lake N150 processor and a sleek chassis, this laptop aims to deliver daily performance without weighing you down. Whether you’re juggling spreadsheets or kicking back with a movie, the GemiBook Plus N150 promises speed, portability, and battery life in one package.

    Design

At just 12 mm at its thinnest point and weighing 1.745 kg, the GemiBook Plus N150 is surprisingly light for a 15.6-inch machine. Its polycarbonate frame strikes a balance between sturdiness and low weight—sturdy enough to withstand daily travel, yet light enough to slip into a bag without complaint. The hinge offers a smooth 180° lay-flat motion, and the matte finish hides fingerprints well. A physical privacy shutter on the webcam adds a thoughtful touch for anyone concerned about on-camera intrusions.

    Display

The 15.6-inch IPS panel impresses with full HD clarity (1,920 × 1,080) and up to 230 nits of brightness. Colors are lively without feeling oversaturated, and the wide 16:9 aspect ratio makes streaming and document layouts comfortable. Low-blue-light and flicker-free technologies help reduce eye strain during extended sessions, be it spreadsheet grinds or late-night binge-watching. Overall, the screen hits the sweet spot for both productivity and casual media.

    Hardware

Under the hood, Intel’s Twin Lake N150 processor brings four cores and four threads, with a turbo boost up to 3.6 GHz. Compared to its predecessor, it claims roughly 45 % more power—enough for seamless web browsing, multitasking, and light editing. The 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM clocked at 4,800 MHz ensures apps open in a flash and stay responsive. Storage comes via a 512 GB PCIe SSD, which boots Windows and launches programs significantly faster than traditional SATA drives. Intel’s integrated graphics, featuring 24 EUs and a 1 GHz dynamic clock, handle casual gaming and 4K video output to an external display over HDMI with ease.

    Features

    • Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2 deliver reliable, fast links to networks and peripherals.
    • Battery: A 38 Wh Li-ion pack powers you through typical workdays. Expect around 6–8 hours of mixed use—enough for meetings, emails, and light streaming away from the outlet.
    • Keyboard & Touchpad: The full-size, chiclet-style keyboard offers solid travel and quiet feedback. The enlarged touchpad is responsive and precise, so you can navigate spreadsheets and presentations without reaching for a mouse.
    • Ports: You get USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and an SD slot—no dongles required for most setups.
    • Webcam & Privacy: The 2 MP HD camera delivers clear video calls, while the manual shutter gives peace of mind when the session ends.

    Conclusion

The Chuwi GemiBook Plus N150 delivers on its promise of “Work, Play, Anytime, Anywhere.” It isn’t a powerhouse meant for heavy-duty rendering or hardcore gaming, but for everyday tasks—office work, web browsing, streaming—it shines. Its lightweight, solid build, and all-day battery life make it an excellent choice for students, remote workers, and travelers on a budget. If you need a reliable, portable laptop without breaking the bank, the GemiBook Plus N150 is worth a closer look.
