Igeekphone July 14th News: According to the blogger “Smart Pikachu”, the Xiaomi 16 series will be launched in September and will be the first to be equipped with Qualcomm’s new-generation processor, Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
The new device will be equipped with the brand-new Pengpai OS 3.0 system. It is rumored that it will be more dynamic and the smoothness should be improved.

In addition, the screen specifications will change slightly. It adopts a brand-new R-corner solution and has a wide screen ratio, making the overall look more comfortable.
If there are no unexpected circumstances, the Xiaomi 16 will adopt a 1.5K resolution, and the Xiaomi 16 Pro will adopt a 2K resolution, remaining consistent with the previous generation.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is manufactured based on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process and adopts the second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU architecture. The GPU’s independent cache has been increased to 16MB, and the theoretical single-core performance of GeekBench 6 is set at over 4000, with a multi-core performance of over 11,000.

For comparison, the single-core score of the Snapdragon 8 Elite is around 3100, and the multi-core score is around 9800.
In addition, the Xiaomi 16 series has been tested with a battery capacity of over 7000mAh. This is very practical for the small-screen Xiaomi 16, and its battery life will be greatly enhanced, making it the most powerful small-screen flagship in terms of battery life.
