On July 14th, IGeekphone reported that the blogger Digital Chat Station has drawn a simplified outline of the Xiaomi 16 Pro. It can be seen that the device adopts a large horizontal matrix camera DECO, which is very similar to the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. This is the biggest change in the industrial design of the Xiaomi Pro series since the Xiaomi 12.

In March 2021, Xiaomi officially launched the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. This device features a large horizontal matrix camera DECO. Moreover, the 11 Ultra has a small “crater” designed at the connection between the back cover and the rear camera, and a secondary screen is embedded on the right side of the camera, making it highly recognizable.
It is reported that the Xiaomi 16 Pro is equipped with a Leica triple rear camera system, including a main camera, a periscope telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens. It is still uncertain whether a secondary screen will be added.
It is worth noting that Digital Chat Station once hinted that the Xiaomi 16 Pro series has two models, with sizes of 6.3 inches and 6.8 inches respectively, and both are in a straight screen form.

In terms of core performance, the Xiaomi 16 series is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 flagship platform as standard. It adopts the second-generation self-developed Oryon CPU architecture, manufactured based on TSMC’s third-generation 3nm process. The GPU independent cache has been increased to 16MB, and the theoretical single-core performance of GeekBench 6 is set at over 4000. The multi-core score is over 11,000.
This phone is expected to make its debut in September.
