Igeekphone News July 25th: Xiaomi officially announced today that the REDMI Pad 2 tablet will be officially available for sale on August 1st. It is positioned as an entry-level product, focusing on educational and movie-watching experiences, and is compatible with a vast question bank to assist learning.

It is reported that this tablet will be equipped with a 2.5K resolution “ultra-clear and high-brightness” eye-protecting large screen, offering 21 layers of eye-protection capabilities. It is equipped with a 9000mAh large-capacity battery (equivalent to a rated capacity of 8800mAh), which can provide longer battery life and standby. It features the “Xiaomi Education Center” app, which supports AI intelligent homework tutoring and a vast collection of past exam papers from prestigious schools.

After checking the overseas official website of Xiaomi, Igeekphone found that this tablet has some commonalities with the REDMI Pad 2 that has been sold overseas in terms of appearance design and public parameters, such as both being equipped with a 2.5K resolution screen and a 9000mAh battery. But it is still not clear whether the REDMI Pad 2 will continue to use the hardware configuration of the overseas version.

The overseas version of REDMI Pad 2 is equipped with the Mediatek Helio G100Ultra processor and is available in 4+128GB, 6+128GB, and 8+256GB memory/storage options. The 4+128GB version is priced at 21,980 Japanese yen
