Igeekphone News, August 4th: Recently, there have been signs indicating that DJI’s highly anticipated Mini 4 Pro drone is about to undergo an upgrade and replacement.
At present, the retail packaging of the Mini 5 Pro and the first high-resolution device image have been exposed in advance. This information was posted by X platform user @KietN7650 and is said to come from an internal employee of DJI. According to Ellens’ analysis, this information is currently considered reliable. According to the picture, the Mini 5 Pro will be equipped with a 1-inch CMOS sensor, supporting 4K resolution and 120 frames per second video shooting, and providing a 48mm telephoto mode, which may be achieved through sensor cropping.

In addition, IGEEKPHONE noticed that the official battery life of the Mini 5 Pro will reach 36 minutes, which is only 2 minutes longer than that of the previous generation product. The key features of the Mini 5 Pro shown in the picture include:
1-inch camera sensor, supporting 48mm sensor cropping
Each smart flight battery supports an official battery life of 36 minutes
Supports 4K / 120 frames per second video shooting
It offers functions such as ActiveTrack 360°, waypoint, cruise control, advanced following, laser-assisted detection and ranging (LADAR), etc
Achieve high-quality aerial photography through MasterShots
Supports night mode, HDR and noise reduction functions
Omnidirectional obstacle perception (all-round perception)
True vertical shooting and 225° gimbal rotation offer more flexible camera movement
Ultra-lightweight and foldable (specific weight not announced)

However, according to source Jasper Ellens, the release date of the Mini 5 Pro will no longer be August 7th as he previously claimed. If the previous plan was followed, DJI should have released the preview before July 31. However, as of July 31st, DJI has not released any related announcements. Therefore, Ellens believes that the release time of the Mini 5 Pro will be postponed to later this year. Ellens said at DroneXL that the Mini 5 Pro is expected to be officially released in September. Although he did not give a specific date, he hinted that the Mini 5 Pro and Neo 2 might be launched successively within a few weeks.
