Igeekphone News, August 21st: According to information obtained by German media ComputerBase from Google, the Tensor G5 mobile platform adopted by the new generation of Pixel 10 series smartphones uses GPU IP from Imagination. However, support for ray tracing has not been added.
Specifically, the GPU model equipped in Tensor G5 is IMG DXT-48-1536, which belongs to the High Configuration configuration in the DXT series GPU of Imagination’s PowerVR architecture. This is also the second time that Imagination GPU has appeared on a flagship mobile platform.

In terms of CPU architecture, the super-large core architecture of Tensor G5 remains at Cortex-X4, the large core has been upgraded to Cortex-A725, and the small core part remains at Cortex-A520 as Arm has not been updated. It adopts a 1+5+2 three-cluster design, which increases the proportion of large cores compared to the previous generation’s 1+3+4.
According to previous reports, the Tensor G5 on the Pixel 10 Pro XL achieved a single-core score of 2242 and a multi-core score of 5981 on GeekBench 6. Compared with the previous generation, the single-core performance has improved by 15.09%, the multi-core performance by 32.03%, and the overall average CPU performance has improved by 34%.
