Igeekphone News on August 27th: On August 19th, the South Korean media newsworks published a blog post reporting that the first XR headset jointly developed by Samsung and Google, “Project Moohan”, will be released on September 29th, 2025. It was first launched in South Korea on October 13th and then rolled out globally.
It is reported that Samsung plans to release this XR headset on September 29th and sell it in South Korea on October 13th, and then gradually launch it in other countries and regions.

In terms of pricing, the price range of this XR headset is between 2.5 million and 4 million Korean won (Igeekphone Note: The current exchange rate is approximately 12,825 to 20,520 yuan).
If calculated at 4 million Korean won, compared with 4.86 million Korean won of the Apple Vision Pro (approximately 24,932 yuan at the current exchange rate), the difference is only 860,000 Korean won (approximately 4,412 yuan at the current exchange rate).
This XR headset has currently passed the KTR certification in South Korea and the FCC certification in the United States. Its model number is SM-I610. It is expected to be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR 2 + second-generation chip, featuring a six-core CPU and Adreno 740 GPU, as well as two 90Hz refresh rate micro OLED displays.
This headset is also equipped with 12 built-in cameras to achieve more accurate spatial tracking and gesture recognition, and is fitted with an external battery. At the system level, it runs Google’s Android XR platform, supports a variety of immersive applications, and supports running Android applications.
It is reported that Samsung internally estimates the first-year shipment volume of this XR headset to be approximately 100,000 units and regards it as a transitional product for entering the smart glasses market.
