On September 4th, Igeekphone reported that today, Huawei’s flagship small tablet – Huawei MatePad Mini was officially launched, with the product slogan “Super Strong, Super Mini”.

In terms of ID design, the Huawei MatePad Mini offers four color options: Spruce Green, Obsidian Black, Snow White, and Universe Red (Collector’s Edition), and it adopts a lightweight architecture design.

The rear camera on the back continues the design of the HarmonyOS Star Ring and incorporates the watch-level double-rotating fine engraving technique.

The whole machine is only 5.1 millimeters thick and weighs 255 grams, making it convenient to carry around.

It is understood that the Huawei MatePad Mini features an 8.8-inch flexible OLED full-screen display, with an extremely narrow 2.99mm bezel and a screen-to-body ratio of 92%, and a screen aspect ratio of 16:10.

The screen resolution reaches 2.5K, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. It features an ultra-high contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 and a P3 wide color gamut.

Among them, the Huawei MatePad Mini Yunxi Soft Light Screen Edition has passed the German TUV Rheinland certification and SGS low visual fatigue certification, and supports e-book mode and eye protection mode

As one of the highlights of the new product, the Huawei MatePad Mini is not only a small tablet but also a “large-sized mobile phone”.

This device comes with a receiver as standard across the entire series and supports card insertion. It supports making and receiving calls as well as cellular networks. Moreover, it can intelligently identify the caller and the scene through “Xiaoyi Help Answer Calls”.

In terms of communication, the tablet adopts an intelligent antenna design, combined with the deep collaboration of Huawei Lingxi Communication and AI algorithms. It can ensure signal quality whether held horizontally or vertically, and supports Wi-Fi 7 and two-way Beidou satellite messages at the same time.

Functionally, the Huawei MatePad Mini is compatible with the Huawei M-Pencil Pro stylus. A single click at the end of the pen can wake up Xiaoyi, and a double click can convert voice to text.

The Huawei MatePad Mini runs on the HarmonyOS 5.1 operating system and supports functions such as Borderless Note-taking, Selecting Xiaoyi for problem-solving, AI Eye Movement Page-turning, and note-taking while reading.

The front camera of the tablet is 32 million pixels, and the rear camera consists of a 50 million pixel main camera and an 8 million pixel ultra-wide-angle lens.

It is equipped with a built-in 6400mAh battery, supports 66W wired fast charging, and features a brand-new three-dimensional heat dissipation architecture and a side fingerprint recognition button.

In terms of price, the Huawei MatePad Mini 12GB+256GB model is priced at 3,999 yuan, the 12GB+512GB model at 4,499 yuan, the Yunxi Soft Light Screen 12GB+512GB model at 4,999 yuan, and the Huawei MatePad Mini smart case at 199 yuan. They will go on sale at 10:08 on September 12th.

The Huawei MatePad Mini Reading Edition with 12GB+256GB storage is priced at 3,299 yuan, and the 12GB+256GB Cloud Stream Soft Light Screen is priced at 3,799 yuan. It will go on sale on September 25th.

The Huawei MatePad Mini Collector’s Edition with 16GB+512GB Cloud Stream Soft Light screen is priced at 5,999 yuan, and the 16GB+1TB Cloud Stream Soft Light screen is priced at 6,499 yuan. Both models come with a stylus and a leather case and will be available for sale in October.
