Igeekphone News, September 5th: Technology media Notebook Check published a blog post today (September 5th), reporting that at the IFA 2025 conference held in Berlin, Germany, Lenovo officially showcased the concept product VertiFlex (Project Pivo) of the ThinkBook series, which is a laptop equipped with a rotatable display screen.
This notebook features a unique rotatable screen design. By strengthening the hinge and body structure, it enables free switching between landscape and portrait modes. Coupled with an adaptive software interface, it does not require manual adjustment by users, allowing the window layout to automatically rearrange as the screen rotates.

Unlike the common dual-screen or flexible OLED devices on the market, Project Pivo adopts a single fixed panel and optimizes the use of vertical screens as one of the core functions of laptops.

This design is directly targeted at professional users who need to frequently switch between horizontal and vertical screen usage scenarios, such as reading long documents, writing code, browsing social media or watching vertical screen videos, etc. The vertical screen mode can provide a more efficient visual experience. When dealing with timeline tables or horizontal content, landscape mode is more suitable.

At present, Project Pivo is still in the proof-of-concept stage. Lenovo has not announced the specific mass production schedule, hardware configuration and price information. The team is currently focusing on collecting user feedback, with an emphasis on evaluating the durability of the hinge structure, the response speed of interface rotation, and the improvement effect of this design on actual work efficiency. If the market feedback is positive, Lenovo plans to transform this concept into a mass-produced version of the ThinkBook product with enterprise-level quality.
