On October 28th, iGEEKPHONE reported that the blogger Digital Chat Station exposed the parameter details of Honor Magic8 Ultra, which is Honor’s most powerful imaging flagship.
Specifically, the Honor Magic8 Ultra features a 6.71-inch 1.5K LTPO full-depth micro-curved screen, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra 5th generation platform, and supports 3D facial recognition and 3D ultrasonic screen fingerprint recognition.
Moreover, the main camera of this device has been upgraded to the OV50R from Omnivision Group, featuring 50 million pixels. It also comes with a brand-new large-sensor periscope telephoto lens and a battery capacity exceeding 7000mAh.

It is reported that the OV50R features a 1/1.3-inch ultra-large sensor, which is a high-end image sensor from Omnivision Group. It supports four-in-one pixel merging and can achieve a 12.5-megapixel output of 120 frames per second and 4K shooting at 60 frames per second. This sensor can also achieve high-quality 8K video recording through dual analog gain (DAG) HDR and in-sensor cropping zoom functions.
Previously, Luo Wei, the head of Honor’s imaging department, stated that our Ultra is definitely something that no one has ever seen or even thought about. Honor will invest in hardware for functions that current AI cannot achieve. Hardware investment currently cannot fully exert its capabilities without AI. Hardware investment in AI can currently enhance functionality by 100 times.
He emphasized that our main goal is to do what is useful to users. We should run faster and compete more fiercely, hoping that everyone can keep up. In the end, it is still the consumers who benefit.
