Igeekphone News, November 3rd: The source PhotoRabz published an article revealing that DJI will launch the DJI Osmo Action 6 action camera on November 19th. Previous reports indicated that this action camera is equipped with a 1/1.1-inch sensor and a variable aperture of F2.0 – F4.0. With a battery life of 4 hours, the starting price of its base version is $329 (IGEEKPHONE Note: The current exchange rate is approximately 2,334 yuan).
According to a previous report by IGEEKPHONE, this action camera is equipped with a 1/1.1-inch stacked CMOS sensor jointly developed with SONY, with a size close to 1 inch. Compared with the 1/1.3-inch sensor of the previous generation Action 5 Pro, its light-sensitive area has increased by nearly 40%, which means stronger low-light shooting ability and a dynamic range of more than 13 stops. Meanwhile, the stacked structure can effectively eliminate the common “jelly effect” during high frame rate shooting, ensuring a stable and clear picture.

In terms of lens and video specifications, the Action 6 is equipped with a brand-new F2.0-F4.0 variable aperture lens with an equivalent focal length of 16mm, allowing users to flexibly control the depth of field in different lighting conditions and seamlessly switch from creative bokeh to sharp images.
The video capability has reached a new height, supporting the recording of 8K / 30fps videos with HDR and ProRes encoding. It also supports multiple high frame rate formats such as 5.3K / 60fps and 4K / 120fps, making it easy to capture the wonderful moments of high-speed movement.
Battery life and durability are another major highlight of this upgrade. The Action 6 is equipped with a large-capacity 1950mAh battery, providing a full charge of 4 hours of battery life, which is sufficient to meet the needs of long-term shooting such as marathons.

The body is sturdy and durable, with an IP68 protection rating, and the bare machine can be waterproof to a depth of up to 20 meters. To enhance the anti-shake effect, the new product is also equipped with RockSteady 4.0 electronic anti-shake technology that combines a new image processing engine. Meanwhile, the body has 64GB of built-in storage space and supports modern connection standards such as microSD card expansion, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Action 6 also introduces a highly creative “smartwatch linkage” feature. Users can connect it to Apple Watch or Garmin Watch to achieve remote control, GPS path overlay, heart rate synchronization, and real-time data display such as speed and altitude, turning smart wearable devices into powerful task control centers.
