Igeekphone News, December 12th: The DJI Neo 2 drone has now been updated with firmware version v01.00.0500, allowing users to control the drone using an Apple Watch. Applicable to Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch Ultra 2/Ultra 3 and newer models.
It is introduced that this function can only be enabled after updating the DJI Fly App to version v1.19.4. It is applicable to scenarios such as cycling and running. However, users can also explore the usage scenarios by themselves and use
this function in situations where it is inconvenient to take out the remote control or transmit the remote control via video.
It is worth noting that users can also view the real-time images of the drone (image transmission) on the Watch. However, sometimes this feature conflicts with the Apple Watch’s own screen-lit function when the wrist is raised, and the image transmission will go out when the wrist is lowered.

Furthermore, when users grant microphone permission to the DJI Fly App, they can also control the drone by voice, or turn the watch into a microphone to add sound to the drone video.
According to a previous report by Igeekphone, the DJI Neo 2 drone was released at the end of October. It mainly focuses on travel photography and recording daily life scenarios. Weighing 151 grams, it is equipped with a 12-megapixel 1/2-inch CMOS sensor and has a maximum aperture of f/2.2. Supports shooting 4K 60P landscape videos, 4K 100P slow-motion videos, and 2.7K portrait videos. Battery life: 19 minutes. Starting price: 1,499 yuan.
