Igeekphone News, December 28th: The blogger “Fixed-Focus Digital” posted that the Huawei Mate 80 GTS and Pura X wide foldable screen phones are planned to be launched in the first half of 2026.
Pura X2
Industry insiders predict that this model will continue the “short and wide” folding design of its predecessor, while the size of the internal screen is expected to increase, ranging from 7.6 to 8 inches, advancing to a wide-proportion large folding screen model.

In terms of performance, the Pura X2 will be equipped with the Kirin 9030 chip, which is the same as that used in the Mate 80 series, featuring a brand-new 9-core architecture.
In terms of imaging, it is highly likely to be equipped with the Red Maple Quad Camera System, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 15-megapixel Red Maple Original Color camera with 150 million spectral channels.
Apart from Pura X2, the brand-new Mate 80 GTS will also be released in the first half of the year.
Mate80 GTS
According to other bloggers, the Huawei Mate 80 GTS will be launched as a model with the “performance monster” positioning. Its core highlights focus on cooling and hardware configuration.
In terms of hardware configuration, the Mate 80 GTS will be equipped with the full-power version of the Kirin 9030 Pro chip, with a clock speed of up to 4.8GHz, and its Antutu benchmark score will exceed 4 million.
The screen will be equipped with a 7.2-inch dual-layer OLED immersive screen, with a peak brightness of 8000 nits; the battery capacity is 6500mAh.
Furthermore, in terms of the cooling system, this model may incorporate a miniature turbo fan with a rotational speed of up to 12,000 revolutions per minute. It can reduce the chip temperature from 55°C to 38°C within 30 seconds.
At the same time, through aerospace-grade sealing technology, P68-level waterproofing has been achieved, ensuring both heat dissipation and protection.
