iGEEKPHONE News, January 13th: In September last year, the Xiaomi 17 product line underwent a major adjustment. It no longer adopted the traditional dual-cup layout of standard and Pro versions. Instead, it was restructured into three models: standard, Pro, and Pro Max. This new layout adopts a more detailed high-end matrix approach, aiming to meet the needs of different users.
Subsequently, in December, Xiaomi launched the Super Large Edition Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This model was the first to be equipped with a Leica APO optical-certified telephoto lens, demonstrating Leica’s recognition of the optical capabilities of Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
This is not the end yet. Xiaomi will also launch the Xiaomi 17 Max in the first half of this year. This is the largest generation in the history of Xiaomi’s digital series.
According to the blogger Digital CHAT Station, the appearance design of Xiaomi 17 Max is similar to that of Xiaomi 17. The screen has been upgraded to the same LIPO four-wide-edge straight screen as that of Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The battery capacity reaches 8000mAh and it supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Compared with the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the Xiaomi 17 Max has removed the rear screen, has an additional 500mAh battery capacity, and is equipped with the Qualcomm 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition flagship platform. Its price will be cheaper than that of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max.
From the configuration, it is easy to see that Xiaomi 17 Max focuses on large screen, long battery life and flagship performance.
