According to information from Kakaku in Japan and the official website of IQOS, Philip Morris Japan (PMJ) announced the launch of a new special cartridge “TEREA Stellar Pearl” for the heated non-combustion product series IQOS ILUMA. This product belongs to the capsule mint category that can change flavors through “burst beads”, featuring refreshing mint flavor, and releasing the aroma of “yellow citrus” after bursting the capsule.
The report states that “TEREA Stellar Pearl” has been positioned by PMJ as a “Japanese first launch” flavor within the PMI system. Daniel Sevcik, the head of product portfolio marketing at PMJ, said that capsule menthol products have received high support among adult smokers in Japan, and the new product will offer new options for users seeking a stronger cooling sensation and flavor switching experience.

In terms of the listing schedule, PMJ plans to start sales in the offline channels in Japan from January 19th, covering 4 IQOS stores across the country (Sapporo, Ginza, Nagoya, and Shinagawa), as well as IQOS cooperative retail channels (IQOS shops/corners) and convenience stores within the national tobacco retail network. Starting from January 29th, the product will be available for sale in the IQOS online store (IQOS Online Store). The product is priced at 20 packs per box, including tax, at 580 yen (approximately 3.6 US dollars).
