Igeekphone reported on January 16th that source @MysteryLupin posted a tweet on the X platform on January 14th, stating that Google plans to release the Pixel 10a phone on February 17th, 2026. Against the backdrop of soaring component costs leading to general price hikes in electronic products, the pricing of the 128GB version is approximately 500 euros (Igeekphone Note: Current exchange rate is approximately 4,052 yuan), which is about 50 euros cheaper (9.11% less) than the previous generation Pixel 9a (549 euros).
The tech media Android Central pointed out that the core strategy for Google to achieve price reduction lies in “hardware reuse”, with the main difference being the addition of different color options. The news indicates that the Pixel 10a will not be equipped with the latest G5 chip of the flagship series, but will continue to use the same Tensor G4 processor as the Pixel 9a.
Furthermore, the leaked renderings show that the appearance of the new device is almost exactly the same as that of the previous model, indicating that Google may have directly reused the chassis of the previous model. By avoiding the high costs of redesigning and purchasing new chips, Google further mitigated the pressure brought about by supply chain price increases.
Although the core processor has not been upgraded, the Pixel 10a still maintains a mainstream level of basic experience. The new model is expected to be equipped with 8GB of memory and a 5100mAh battery, which is sufficient to handle daily usage.
In terms of color schemes, the 128GB version will offer four options: Obsidian (Obsidian Black), Berry (Peach), Lavender (Lavender Purple), and Fog (Misty Gray).
However, for users who require more storage capacity, the 256GB version (priced at approximately 600 euros) is currently available in only one color – Obsidian Black. The color options are relatively limited. The official protective case is expected to cost 20 euros, and its color will be the same as that of the phone body.
