Igeekphone reported on January 16th that Ahmed Kowad, a source, posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday (January 15th), revealing and sharing the core imaging information of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra phone. The main camera’s aperture has been upgraded to f/1.4, and the aperture of the telephoto lens has increased to f/2.9. The increase in light intake will significantly enhance the shooting ability in low-light environments.
The source of the information stated that the main camera of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphone still maintains a 20-megapixel resolution, but the aperture has been increased from the previous generation’s f/1.7 to f/1.4. Additionally, the aperture of the 50-megapixel telephoto lens has also been raised from f/3.4 to f/2.9.
A smaller aperture number means a larger physical aperture opening, allowing the sensor to capture more light. This improvement will directly optimize the image details in night scenes and low-light environments, significantly enhancing the clarity and dynamic range of the photos.

Furthermore, the source @UniverseIce pointed out that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will adopt a brand-new camera algorithm, which can accurately restore skin tones and ensure that what you see is exactly what you get.
For a long time, the imaging style of Samsung’s flagship phones has tended to please the eyes by enhancing saturation. Although the colors are vivid, they are often criticized by some users for being distorted. The addition of this new algorithm means that Samsung is attempting to change this stereotype and is committed to achieving a natural imaging effect where “what you see is what you get”.
In terms of storage, the top-of-the-line version of Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra comes with a combination of 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage space. In terms of core performance, the S26 Ultra will be uniformly equipped with the fifth-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition chip worldwide.
Regarding the release schedule, multiple sources indicate that Samsung will hold a new product launch event on February 25, 2026, officially introducing three models: Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra. The new devices are expected to be available for sale nationwide on March 11.
