According to a digital blogger, the new generation of foldable screen phone from Huawei, Pura X2, is expected to make its official debut in March this year and be put on the market for sale in April.
This device will maintain the distinctive “short and stout” body proportion design of its predecessor. The internal screen size is expected to expand to 7.6 to 8 inches, further enhancing its visual and operational experience in the field of large-sized foldable screens.
It is reported that Pura X2 will undergo significant performance upgrades. It will be equipped with the Kirin 9030 processor, which is the same as that of the Huawei Mate 80 series. This chip features a brand-new architecture design and is expected to bring about a notable performance enhancement.

In the imaging system, the new model is expected to be equipped with a rear camera module named “Red Maple Quad-Camera”, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera, a 40-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 15-megapixel multi-spectrum enhanced camera.
Currently, the Huawei Pura series of foldable screens is one of the few in this category that adopts a design close to that of a tablet computer. It is worth noting that there are industry reports suggesting that Apple plans to launch a foldable iPhone with a similar screen solution this year, which implies that the two major brands may engage in direct competition in this emerging market form.

Apart from Pura X2, the source also mentioned that Huawei is expected to launch a flagship model, Mate 80 GTS, in the first half of the year. This device is predicted to be equipped with a more powerful Kirin 9030 Pro chip and an active cooling system to provide a more continuous and stable high-performance output.
