According to Convenience Store, Philip Morris Limited (PML), a British subsidiary of Philip Morris International (PMI), announced the launch of the latest device in its IQOS heated non-combustible product line, IQOS Iluma i One, in the UK, in order to further expand its range of smoke-free products.
The report states that the Iluma series uses a bladeless induction heating system (Smartcore Induction System) to heat the tobacco, in order to provide “real tobacco flavor and satisfaction”, and claims that it can reduce harmful chemicals compared to traditional cigarettes.
PML stated that the Iluma i One has added several new features to enhance its usability, including a touch screen, automatic startup, and FlexPuff, among others. The device can be customized according to the user’s usage needs.
The 2025 model of IQOS Iluma i One has also undergone an upgrade in its appearance.
According to the report, currently the Iluma series in the British market includes three devices: Iluma i, Iluma Prime, and the latest Iluma i One.
The new product is compatible with TEREA cartridges, and it also includes the newly launched Pearls series.
Boris Ozcan, the head of PML’s smoke-free products, said that since the launch of the related products in the UK in September 2019, IQOS Iluma has played a significant role in its strategy of promoting a “smoke-free future”.
