On February 22nd, the digital blogger “Oneline Technology” used the Seedance 2.0 software to create a rendering video of the new Xiaomi MIX 5 smartphone.
In the video, the Xiaomi MIX 5 features a straight-screen design. Its rear circular camera module is equipped with four cameras, and it also supports an external lens solution.
Based on the previous leaked information, the Xiaomi MIX 5 is likely to feature a quadruple-curved OLED flexible screen with a size of approximately 6.8 inches, achieving a resolution of 2K+ level (around 3080 x 1440 or higher), and supporting adaptive refresh rate technology ranging from 1 to 120Hz as well as high-frequency PWM dimming, in order to balance smooth display and eye-protection requirements.
This device is highly likely to continue and upgrade the under-screen camera design, completely hiding the front camera beneath the screen.
There are currently various rumors regarding the configuration of the imaging system. The earlier parameter page indicated that the rear camera of the Xiaomi MIX 5 might consist of a 108-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel free-form wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with a zoom function.

The latest revelations point to more radical solutions, such as a rear multi-camera system with high-magnification optical zoom, and there are even reports suggesting that it may support the expansion capability of external magnetically attached professional lenses.
Previously, Xiaomi had showcased a concept product called “Xiaomi Module Optical System” at the MWC 2025 conference. It was a dedicated lens that could be connected to the phone via magnetic suction.
Earlier, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also demonstrated this technology live, stating that it uses a custom M4/3 sensor and a large F1.4 aperture, enabling the capture of images with the effect of a 35mm professional lens.
