Igeekphone reported on March 17th: After revealing the small folding phone Galaxy Z Flip8, the Dutch technology media Galaxy Club posted a blog yesterday (March 16th), once again disclosing the core parameters of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 folding phone.
In terms of batteries, the current Galaxy Z Fold7 phone maintains the 4400mAh (typical value) capacity since the Galaxy Z Fold3. The latest news indicates that Galaxy Z Fold8 will exceed this to 5000mAh, making it the phone with the highest capacity in the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series (excluding the Galaxy Z TriFold).
Igeekphone reports that the Galaxy Z Fold8 still adopts a dual-cell design. The rated capacities of the two batteries are 2369 mAh and 2485 mAh respectively, with a total rated capacity of 4845 mAh. However, during official promotions, the typical value of 5000mAh will be used.

In addition, the source also mentioned that the supply chain side also tested a battery with a single-cell capacity of 2393 mAh. Industry speculation suggests that this solution might be specifically designed for the “Fold Wide” derivative version with the code name “H8”. If this solution is adopted, the total typical capacity of this derivative version will reach 4900 mAh.
In terms of the imaging system, the Galaxy Z Fold8 with the code name “Q8” has undoubtedly adopted the flagship-level 200-megapixel sensor for its rear main camera, ensuring the core image quality output.
However, somewhat surprisingly, the front-facing cameras on both the internal and external screens still remain at 10 million pixels. Considering that Samsung has long abandoned the 10 million pixel front camera specification in the Galaxy S series, this decision seems relatively conservative in the foldable screen product line.
