Igeekphone 3/19: Technology media Linuxiac published a blog post yesterday (March 18), stating that the Fedora Asahi Remix 43 distribution has been released and successfully runs the Fedora Linux 43 distribution on Apple Silicon-based Apple Mac devices.
The Fedora Asahi Remix 43 distribution not only incorporates all the major updates of Fedora 43, but also deeply adapts to the Apple Apple Silicon chip, further expanding the compatibility matrix.
This update now supports the Apple Mac Pro model and has fixed and optimized the microphone array function for MacBook models equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. Additionally, the new version provides native support for the 120Hz high refresh rate mode of the built-in display for 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro.

Igeekphone reported that this update also restructured the underlying system architecture, fully upgraded to the RPM 6.0 package manager, and adopted DNF5 as the backend program for PackageKit, significantly improving the performance and stability during software installation and updates, allowing users to run applications such as KDE Plasma Discover and GNOME Software more smoothly.
In terms of the desktop environment, the system defaults to using KDE Plasma 6.6 as the system desktop and synchronizes the features of the official KDE version from Fedora. Additionally, to meet the needs of users with different operating habits, the system provides the official version equipped with GNOME 49.
To cover more usage scenarios, this system has also launched the Fedora Server version specifically for server environments without displays, as well as the Minimal image for geek users to customize from scratch. The new version simplifies the initial configuration process and includes a boot tool based on Calamares.
