Igeekphone News, April 24: Today, the 2026 Beijing International Auto Exhibition opened. The real car of Xiaomi’s first concept supercar, Vision GT, made its debut at the exhibition.
The Vision Gran Turismo (Vision GT) pure electric concept supercar launched by Xiaomi is a vehicle specially developed by Xiaomi for the Vision Gran Turismo project of the classic racing game “Gran Turismo”. It is also the first concept car of a Chinese brand in the history of this project.
According to the official simulation test data released, its drag coefficient Cd is 0.29, which can generate 1.2 tons of downforce and has an aerodynamic efficiency of 4.1.
This vehicle also adopts an innovative anti-lift body design, which reversely applies the full lift body design from the aviation field. The aerodynamic structure is integrated into the vehicle body, enabling efficient downforce without the need to add additional large tail wings or other components.
In terms of appearance, the vehicle is overall in a streamlined shape with simple body lines. The front end features the Xiaomi family’s cross-shaped headlights design, and the interior of the lamp group incorporates air flow channels.
The rear of the vehicle is equipped with a continuous halo-style rear light. The side of the vehicle has a perforated air duct. The bottom of the vehicle features a flat-flowing diffuser structure. At the rear of the roof, there is a small laminar-flow device with the brand logo. The entire vehicle is shaped by the wind, taking into account both aerodynamic performance and lightweight design.
The cockpit is equipped with a Xiaomi panoramic display sky screen, which supports the integration of human, vehicle and home systems. It can synchronize health information from devices such as smartwatches.
In terms of design philosophy, Li Tianyuan, the chief designer of Xiaomi, stated: “Our philosophy is that we can achieve the aerodynamic goals without adding extra components. This philosophy requires us to adhere to the principle of ‘less is more’, and every design element must possess aerodynamic functionality, rather than just being for aesthetics.”
