iPhone 18 Pro Max looks like this! All the key information is right here

If everything goes as expected, the iPhone 18 series is expected to be available to fans in about 3 or 4 months. There are also more and more reports about the new phone. Recently, a set of real photos of the iPhone 18 Pro Max case has been circulating online, once again confirming the body design that was previously disclosed.

According to previous leaked information, the iPhone 18 Pro series will feature four color options: light blue, deep cherry red, dark gray, and silver. These correspond to the actual phone case colors that have been circulating.

At this point, let’s take a look at the comprehensive specifications of the iPhone 18 Pro series, apart from the appearance. We’ll see what new tricks Apple’s new flagship model has up its sleeve and how it manages to attract users to make an upgrade purchase.

    Performance Configuration

In terms of performance configuration, the iPhone 18 Pro is expected to adopt the A20 Pro chip, using the TSMC 2nm N2 process. The computing speed is predicted to increase by 10% to 15%, and the end-side AI computing power has doubled. In terms of energy efficiency, its power consumption has significantly decreased by 25% to 30%, and the overall heat control of the device has also been significantly improved.

In this generation of chips, Apple has adopted a completely new WMCM (Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module) packaging technology. By integrating multiple independent chips such as the CPU, GPU and NPU onto a single independent carrier board, the chip’s internal data transmission efficiency has been significantly enhanced. This not only offers more flexible design capabilities and greater scalability, but also improves energy efficiency and simplifies the manufacturing process.

The two new models are also expected to be equipped with Apple’s third-generation self-developed C2 modem. This not only significantly reduces power consumption but also enhances the communication capabilities of the system. It has reduced the drop-out rate in weak network environments by 30%. It is reported that it will also be equipped with satellite 5G internet connection functionality. Even if users are in extreme environments without Wi-Fi or cellular networks such as remote mountainous areas, at sea, or in disaster-stricken areas, the system can rely on the satellite network to support web browsing, satellite image transmission, and signal-free navigation functions, making the mobile phone truly become a global-coverage communication terminal.

In terms of camera configuration, all models have upgraded their front cameras to 24 million pixels. For the rear telephoto lenses, the Pro version is equipped with a 5x telephoto, while the Pro Max version has a larger aperture 6x telephoto, significantly enhancing the 4x and 8x zoom performance in low-light conditions.

    Appearance design

While maintaining the classic style, the iPhone 18 Pro series has made targeted optimizations in the screen shape and internal space layout. The iPhone 18 Pro is equipped with a 6.3-inch OLED screen, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max is equipped with a 6.9-inch OLED screen. The dynamic island will be reduced.

By completely eliminating the use of external baseband chips and adopting an in-house self-developed baseband solution integrated within the SoC, the PCB layout area, signal routing, and dedicated cooling space required for external chips have been eliminated inside the phone. This has made the motherboard layout more compact, thus freeing up valuable physical space inside the device, potentially making the phone thinner and lighter.

    Battery life performance

Battery capacity has always been a major concern for smartphone users. The battery capacity of the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to reach 5200mAh, making it the phone with the largest battery capacity in Apple’s history. The battery capacity of the iPhone 18 Pro is approximately 4800mAh. Combined with a 30% reduction in power consumption by the chip and the excellent energy consumption control of the self-developed C2 baseband, the overall battery life of the Pro Max model is expected to be extended by 20% to 30%.

In terms of charging efficiency, both of the Pro models are expected to support 45W wired fast charging as well as 30W MagSafe wireless charging technology.

    More experiences

Based on its powerful underlying hardware, iPhone 18 Pro has expanded a number of system-level functions that enhance the user experience: In terms of end-side AI, the new WMCM packaging architecture, doubled AI computing power, and the 12GB large memory standard across the entire series are specifically designed for the next wave of end-side Apple Intelligence functions, ensuring the smooth operation of system-level AI tasks and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

In terms of price, the entire lineup of iPhone 18 Pro is expected to come with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM as standard. The base model with 256GB storage is expected to start at 8,999 yuan (Pro) and 9,999 yuan (Pro Max). The high-end version (512GB/1TB) may see a slight price increase.
