Igeekphone reported on June 2nd that the source @DuvalMagic posted a tweet on the X platform yesterday (June 1st), sharing a set of photos that showcased the prototype of the Google Pixel Watch 5 smartwatch.
The exposure of this prototype has an element of mystery to it. It is not through the usual channels like bars or eBay, but was discovered by a diver in the underwater area near the Saint Martin Island in the Caribbean Sea.

IGEEKPHONE reported, citing the technology media Android Police, that @DuvalMagic is the online alias of Randy Pitchford, who previously served as the CEO of Gearbox Software (a game company).
If the intention is merely to draw attention, choosing to expose information about a relatively niche product like Pixel Watch 5 is not typical. Moreover, faking low-key photos would also be rather cumbersome.

In the era of AI (Artificial Intelligence), all leaks should be treated with greater caution. However, the watch in the photo is ordinary and unremarkable, which actually adds a small amount of credibility.
