In the gaming smartphone market, Red Magic stands out as a brand dedicated entirely to mobile gaming. Over the years, it has introduced several innovations that later became industry trends. One of the best examples is the built-in cooling fan, a feature Red Magic introduced back in 2019 and one that many gaming phones have since adopted.
Last year’s Red Magic 11 Pro+ took cooling a step further by introducing a water-cooling system alongside an active cooling fan. This hybrid cooling approach significantly improved heat management, allowing the phone to maintain peak performance and support high-speed charging more effectively.
The newly launched Red Magic 11S Pro+ continues this dual-cooling strategy, combining water and air cooling to push performance and thermal efficiency even further.
Designed for gamers who want a true console-like experience on the go, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ aims to be the ultimate mobile gaming platform.
The phone retains Red Magic’s signature design language, featuring a flat back panel, a sharp-edged display, and a transparent aesthetic that highlights its gaming-focused identity. The transparent rear panel showcases the internal cooling system, including the ring-shaped liquid channels and circulating coolant. Besides improving cooling performance, the moving liquid adds a unique visual effect that reinforces the phone’s futuristic appearance.
On the front, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ features a 6.85-inch Wukong Screen 2.0 with no notch or punch-hole. Thanks to its under-display front camera, users get a truly uninterrupted viewing experience, whether gaming or watching videos.
The display uses BOE’s X10 luminescent material and supports a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals. It also carries SGS and TÜV Rheinland eye-comfort certifications, helping reduce eye strain during extended gaming sessions.
Performance is another major highlight. The Red Magic 11S Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version, one of Qualcomm’s most powerful mobile processors. Built on an advanced 3nm process, each chip undergoes extensive testing to ensure stable operation at high clock speeds while maintaining efficiency under demanding workloads.
This strict selection process helps deliver consistently strong performance across every device. Paired with the CUBE Sky Game Engine 3.0 and AI-driven optimization, the phone offers stable frame rates, lower power consumption, and improved battery efficiency during gaming.
To make full use of its powerful hardware, Red Magic has also integrated a PC emulator into its gaming space. Users can connect directly to Steam, install compatible PC titles, and play them on the phone. With built-in translation and optimization features, the experience is far more accessible, allowing gamers to enjoy PC-quality titles without complicated setup procedures.
Appearance
Red Magic remains one of the few brands fully dedicated to gaming smartphones. While most phones look increasingly similar, Red Magic has maintained a distinctive design language that makes its devices instantly recognizable.
The Red Magic 11S Pro+ continues this tradition with its signature boxy shape and small rounded screen corners. Although the squared design may feel less comfortable for one-handed use, it works perfectly for horizontal gaming and maximizes the usable display area.
The phone features ultra-thin bezels and an under-display front camera, creating a seamless, uninterrupted screen. For gamers, the slight compromise in selfie quality is a worthwhile trade-off for a distraction-free gaming experience.
Its design embraces a futuristic, industrial aesthetic. Different textures, including brushed metal and CD-pattern finishes, are combined beneath a protective glass back. Even the camera module sits flush under the glass, resulting in a completely flat rear surface that feels consistent during gameplay.
On the upper back, you’ll find the RGB Red Magic logo alongside branding for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Edition chipset, adding a premium and tech-focused touch.
Cooling has always been a Red Magic strength, and the 11S Pro+ takes it further with a hybrid cooling system that combines active fan cooling with a built-in liquid cooling solution. Through the transparent rear panel, users can see the pulsating liquid-cooling engine and blue coolant channels, giving the phone a striking high-tech appearance while improving thermal performance during gaming, charging, and wireless charging.
The frosted metal frame features clean, sharp edges that enhance the phone’s bold gaming identity. Air intake and exhaust vents on both sides allow the internal fan to efficiently move heat away from key components.
To accommodate the cooling system and shoulder triggers, the power and volume buttons are positioned closer to the center of the frame. A dedicated red gaming switch instantly launches Game Space, transforming the device into a focused gaming machine. The textured finish on the switch also makes it easy to locate by touch.
Additional gaming-focused details include touch-sensitive shoulder triggers and customizable RGB lighting integrated into the frame. At the center of the rear panel, the visible liquid-cooling engine, blue coolant, and circular cooling channel create a unique visual centerpiece that reinforces the phone’s performance-first design.
One-Click Access to Game Space
The Red Magic 11S Pro+ features a dedicated red gaming switch on the side. With a quick flip, the phone enters Game Space, instantly optimizing performance for gaming by minimizing background activity and focusing system resources on your game.
Inside Game Space, you’ll find all installed games in one place. Some titles even feature custom backgrounds, adding a more immersive feel to the gaming environment.
Players can further customize their experience through the CUBE Energy Cube. Settings for performance, graphics, and controls can be adjusted individually for each game, making it easy to fine-tune gameplay based on personal preferences.
A notable addition is the row of PC and console gaming platform icons, including Steam, displayed within Game Space. Thanks to Red Magic’s translation engine, the 11S Pro+ goes beyond mobile gaming by supporting PC game emulation, effectively turning the device into a handheld gaming console.
We tested this feature by logging into a Steam account through a PC emulator. The Steam library was fully accessible, and downloading large games was surprisingly fast. For example, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a game exceeding 50GB, completed installation in roughly 30 minutes.
In testing, The Witcher 3 ran locally at around 15–30 FPS, with smoother performance in indoor areas. While it’s not ideal for experiencing the full game on mobile, it’s still perfectly enjoyable for a quick round of Gwent.

Tomb Raider (2013) delivered a much better experience. Even with advanced hair effects enabled, the game maintained an average frame rate of about 50 FPS. Paired with a game controller, the experience felt remarkably close to playing on a PC.
Lighter games such as Stardew Valley are an even better fit for mobile play. They run smoothly, work well with virtual touch controls, and allow players to enjoy their favorite Steam games and mods wherever they go.
Gaming Performance
The Red Magic 11S Pro+ delivers smooth and responsive gameplay even without enabling its highest performance setting. The built-in dual shoulder triggers make advanced controls easier to use, especially in fast-paced competitive games.
Game Space includes a variety of useful tools that allow players to fine-tune performance, optimize graphics, and access AI-powered features such as Tactical Coach and Magic Girl Voice Actor.
For users who want maximum performance, the phone offers Destroyer Mode, which unlocks the full power of the hardware. However, it also increases power consumption and heat output, so it’s best used only when necessary. For our testing, we used Awakening Mode, which represents a more realistic everyday gaming scenario.
Honor of Kings
With graphics set to the highest settings and Awakening Mode enabled, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ maintained a near-perfect 144fps throughout a 5v5 match. Frame drops were minimal and only appeared briefly during the end-game animation. Gameplay remained consistently smooth.

- Power consumption per frame: 110.6mW
Shoulder Trigger Experience
The customizable shoulder triggers are one of the phone’s standout gaming features. In most supported games, they can be mapped to on-screen controls, allowing players to enjoy advanced four-finger gameplay without a steep learning curve. Individual trigger profiles can also be configured for different games. Only a small number of competitive titles restrict trigger mapping to maintain fair gameplay.
Cooling and Temperature Performance
During our Honkai: Star Rail stress test, the highest recorded surface temperature was 41°C on the front and 40.1°C on the back. The phone felt only slightly warm during extended gaming sessions.
The active cooling fan and liquid cooling system worked effectively, helping the device maintain stable performance under heavy loads. Even during demanding gameplay, there were no signs of thermal throttling or noticeable frame drops.
Battery Life and Charging
The Red Magic 11S Pro+ packs a large 7500mAh battery and supports 120W fast charging along with 80W wireless charging. This combination delivers excellent battery endurance while keeping charging times impressively short. The built-in air and liquid cooling systems also help maintain stable and efficient wireless charging performance.
In Battery Dog’s battery endurance test, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ lasted 13 hours and 24 minutes under moderate to heavy usage, making it more than capable of handling a full day of gaming, streaming, and everyday tasks.
Using the included 120W GaN charger, the phone charged from 17% to 31% in just 5 minutes. It reached 50% in 15 minutes, 77% in 30 minutes, and 91% in 40 minutes. The charging speed then slowed to protect battery health, with a full charge completed in approximately 55 minutes.
Conclusion
The Red Magic 11S Pro+ takes mobile gaming to a new level, and its built-in PC emulator is easily one of its most impressive features. Players can log into their Steam accounts, download games directly, and enjoy PC titles without needing extra hardware or complicated setup processes.
This feature helps bridge the gap between mobile and PC gaming. Instead of being tied to a desktop, users can access a large portion of their Steam library right from their phone, making gaming more flexible and convenient wherever they are.
Of course, there are still some limitations. Running PC games on a smartphone relies on command translation, and factors such as hardware size, cooling constraints, and touchscreen controls mean that demanding AAA titles won’t always match the performance of a high-end gaming PC.
That said, the experience is surprisingly practical. During testing, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt could run, though performance under heavy workloads was naturally limited compared to a desktop system. For lighter activities like playing Gwent, however, the game remained smooth and enjoyable. Many indie games perform even better, delivering stable frame rates and responsive controls. Older AAA titles, including Tomb Raider (2013), also run smoothly with solid optimization.
For players who want a more console-like experience, connecting a game controller instantly transforms the device into a capable handheld gaming system. This greatly improves control accuracy and makes PC gaming on the go far more enjoyable.
The strong gaming performance comes from the phone’s flagship hardware. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Ultra and supported by the CUBE gaming engine, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ delivers more than enough power for modern mobile games and demanding emulation workloads.
Cooling is another highlight. The Pulsating Liquid Cooling Engine and ICE Magic Cooling System work together to keep temperatures under control during extended gaming sessions. Even under heavy loads, performance remains stable with minimal frame drops or thermal throttling.
The design complements the gaming focus perfectly. Its flat, futuristic chassis looks premium, feels comfortable in hand, and carries the distinctive style that esports enthusiasts appreciate.
Overall, the Red Magic 11S Pro+ is more than just a smartphone. It combines powerful hardware, advanced cooling, Steam game compatibility, and a gamer-focused design into a single device. For users looking for a portable platform capable of handling both mobile and PC gaming experiences, it stands out as one of the most exciting gaming phones available today.
