Igeekphone reported on June 15th that the Vivo X Fold6 foldable smartphone will be released this month. Vivo’s product vice president Huang Tao announced some of the specifications of this new device today.
According to its introduction, this new device offers the “Blue Abyss” color option, featuring a more rounded R-corner design and a 2.5D edge-metal frame. In terms of imaging, vivo X Fold6 aims to create the strongest foldable imaging flagship, and it is also a “foldable V model”. The folding device boasts an ultra-powerful 200-megapixel base, a first-of-its-kind Zeiss APO super telephoto lens, and is equipped with the Blueprint Imaging Chip V3+. It supports the equivalent of a 200mm vivo Zeiss teleconverter G2, supports Blueprint native colors, Blueprint color palette, and a variety of color styles.

In addition, both the inner and outer screens of this device are equipped with the latest and most powerful generation of light-emitting materials. Among them, the inner screen of the Samsung M14, which was the first to feature a foldable design, has a higher peak brightness and lower power consumption. At the same time, the dual-screen flagship offers a consistent immersive experience. The inner and outer screens both have a brightness of 5000nit, which is sufficient even in the strong sunlight outdoors; the inner and outer screens with 1nit extremely dim and soft light are also comfortable for use at night, and the opening and closing sensations are both comfortable.

Prior to this, vivo X Fold6 has been officially announced to be equipped with the TSMC 9500 Ultra Power Edition, claiming to be “a SoC specifically developed for large-screen foldable devices”. The peak performance of the NPU has increased by 111% compared to the previous generation, and the power consumption has been further optimized by 56%. The computing power has doubled while the power consumption has been halved. It has undergone in-depth adaptation for the large screen and AI functions of X Fold6, bringing super strong end-side AI performance and ultra-stable end-side AI experience.
Igeekphone has noticed that the physical model of vivo X Fold 6 with the foldable screen has been previously disclosed. It is equipped with a circular rear camera module, and the Zeiss small blue logo is located in the middle of the lens. Compared with the previous model, the overall appearance of this new device is more rounded. Currently, the device has been officially announced to be released in June. It will upgrade the atomic workbench, have a wider main task view, higher utilization rate of split-screen layout, and the display area will increase by 15%.
