Igeekphone June 20th: The latest architecture diagram of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8E6 Pro has leaked prematurely on social media. The relevant parameters indicate that this chip is named SM8975, and it has two internal versions, which support LPDDR5X and LPDDR6 memory respectively.
Based on this, it can be inferred that the Snapdragon 8E6 series will at least include three versions: the standard version of Snapdragon 8E6, the Pro version that supports LPDDR5X, and the Pro version that supports LPDDR6. Such a product lineup is designed to meet the terminal demand at different price points.

Similar tiering strategies have been implemented before at Qualcomm. Previously, both Snapdragon 8E and Snapdragon 8E5 had multiple versions. Among them, Snapdragon 8E5 had two specifications: 8-core and 7-core. The 7-core version was first launched and adopted by OPPO Find N6.
The product concept of the Snapdragon 8E6 Pro is largely the same as that of the previous generation. The full-blood version is equipped with an 8-core CPU cluster and supports LPDDR6 memory, with a more aggressive performance release; the other version may compromise on the CPU frequency to achieve a balance between power consumption and cost.

It is reported that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max will be the first to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8E6 Pro. It is expected to use a full-power version of the chip. This model is expected to make its official debut in September this year. In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 8E6 Pro is equipped with Qualcomm’s self-developed Oryon architecture, and its Geekbench score is expected to exceed 4.5 million. In terms of graphics performance, it integrates the Adreno 850 GPU and 18MB dedicated graphics cache.
However, the cost of top-level performance is also significant. The cost of a single chip has exceeded $300 (approximately over 2,000 yuan), an increase of about 20% compared to the previous generation, setting a new record for Android chips. As a result, the price of the top-end flagship equipped with this chip will further rise. Most manufacturers may only install the Pro version chip in Pro or Ultra models, while mainstream flagship models choose the more cost-effective standard version Snapdragon 8E6.
