Igeekphone June 22nd: Coolpad has now launched the COOL80 entry-level phone, equipped with the MediaTek G99 chip, priced at 819 yuan.
The overall size of the device is 168.5 × 76.3 × 8.2 mm. It comes in three colors: Rock Sand Black, Dune Orange, and Dye Silk White. It is equipped with a 6.7-inch HD+ resolution IPS LCD punch-hole display and supports a 90Hz refresh rate.
In terms of core configuration, this device is equipped with the MediaTek Helio G99 processor. The chip is manufactured using TSMC’s 6nm process and features an 8-core architecture consisting of 2 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 cores and 6 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores. It integrates the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics chip and only supports 4G networks.
The memory specification is 6GB of physical RAM, supporting an 8GB virtual memory expansion. The built-in flash memory space can be utilized to convert into temporary running memory. Once enabled, the equivalent total memory of the entire device can reach 14GB.
The memory is 128GB, equipped with an independent memory card slot, and can support up to a 256GB external memory card. It supports dual SIM dual standby 4G full network， and is compatible with two physical SIM cards for simultaneous online standby.
The camera configuration of this device is a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel single main camera at the rear. There is no secondary camera module. The front camera supports basic face recognition unlocking, but does not support advanced image algorithms such as night-time selfies or portrait blur effects.
The top of the body is equipped with an infrared remote control module. There is no need to pair it with an all-purpose remote control. It can directly be matched with most household devices such as air conditioners, televisions, set-top boxes, and fans.
It is equipped with a 4000mAh battery. In a pure standby mode, the fully charged battery can provide about 3 to 4 days of standby time. When continuously watching short videos, it can last for approximately 6 hours. The continuous talk time can reach over 12 hours.
The interface of the body is USB Type-C. The charging power is 10W. It does not support fast charging. It has wireless charging and reverse charging functions. Any mainstream Type-C charging cable available on the market can be compatible with it.
