OPPO has reached another milestone in charging technology, with the upcoming Find X9 Ultra becoming the first smartphone to receive certification under the latest UFCS 1.2 unified fast charging standard.
According to an announcement from the FCA Terminal Fast Charging Industry Association, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra has officially passed fast charging conformity and compatibility testing, earning the industry’s first UFCS 1.2 smartphone certification along with authorization to use the UFCS trademark.
The achievement follows the OPPO Pad 5 Pro, which previously became the world’s first tablet certified under the UFCS 1.2 standard. Together, the certifications position OPPO as the first manufacturer to complete the deployment of the latest UFCS standard across both smartphones and tablets.
What Is UFCS 1.2?
UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification) is a unified fast charging protocol developed to improve compatibility between charging devices from different manufacturers.
The initiative was jointly launched by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) alongside leading Chinese smartphone makers including Huawei, OPPO, vivo, and Honor, with contributions from chipset vendors and other industry partners.
