VR has come a long way, but there is still a long way to go for the personalized VR headset. Most of the VR headsets these days still require a smartphone or a computer to operate. However there is a new headset called DeePoon M2, where there is no need for any other device to be hooked up to the headset.
You might be aware of ARM,a powerhouse in embedded and application processors, they teamed up with Deepoon in the development of a mini-computer based processor. This CPU is an octa core processor that makes use of ARM Cortex-A57 and ARM Cortex-A53. The GPU is an integrated ARM Mali-T760 MP8.
The headset itself comes with 3 GB of RAM LPDDR4-1600, and an internal storage capacity of 32 GB. The headset also features a dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Also contained within the headset is a quality OLED-display with a diagonal of 5.7 inches and a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels. The refresh rate of 60-70 Hz. The headset also allows for focus adjustment for others that may use the device and also comes with a battery capacity of 3000 mAh.
