Xiaomi has officially introduced the all new Xiaomi Xiaofang 1s camera. The new IP camera is now listed with a very low price tag of 99 Yuan ($15) on the official website of Xiaomi.
The Xiaomi Xiaofang 1S Smart IP camera comes with three attractive features. The first one is that it comes with an upgraded video chip that is faster and more stable. The second is that it offers 18-level grayscale night vision which allows it shoot brighter images in dim light conditions. The third one is that it features enhanced color reproduction capabilities.
The small square shaped 1S camera uses a 11-degree wide-angle, 1.27-inch large CMOS image sensor with f/2.0 aperture that supports maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Monitoring a baby becomes easier since the IR-CUT automatic double filter offers a maximum visual distance of up to 9 meters. Even with such a long distance, the camera easily show the smile on the baby’s face.
Apart from monitoring and voice monitoring, the Xiaomi Xiaofang 1s Smart IP camera can detect smoke and sound an alarm. If there is an suspicious incidence, the camera will automatically start recording a video.
It can be linked to a smartphone or a tablet by using the Mijia app. When the camera starts monitoring, the linked smartphone will notify the user to view the recorded alarm video.
