The revelation last week did not go down to everyone: the notch does not seem to be much appreciated among users, perhaps because seen as a clear “inspiration” to Apple, or perhaps because it does not really like aesthetically. Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus, claims that OnePlus 6 will have an option to hide the notch, probably similar to Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.
According to Lau, this possibility will not be available at launch but will come in a subsequent software update. This could mean that the presentation of OnePlus 6 is very close: usually, the launch of the new model takes place in June, but this year we could see an advance on the roadmap. The founder of OnePlus has finally confirmed that the smartphone will have SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 and memories that will go up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
OnePlus 6 could also be marketed with wireless headphones, although almost certainly it will be an accessory not included in the sales package. The name ” OnePlus Bullets Wireless ” appears in fact on the Bluetooth certification page that you can see above.
