Several months have passed since the official release of Android Oreo and, as often happens, the update to the latest release of the operating system of Google is reaching calmly the various devices on the market. Among all these smartphones that already support and that will soon support the Android version 8.0, we can finally add the various Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus, Honor 8, Honor Note 8, Honor V8 and Honor 6X.
For all these phones the Huawei Club has announced in China the release of the Oreo firmware Beta based on EMUI 8.0. The following smartphones will be able to support all the news presented by Google several months ago as, remember, Picture-in-Picture mode, new management of notifications and API for autocompletion.
The Oreo Beta is currently available for Huawei IDs and Chinese devices only, but technically and with some risk. We just have to wait for the stable firmware that should now arrive in the coming months, perhaps with a bit of delay but that will surely please the owners of the various smartphones Huawei and Honor.
At the same time, the pollen club also announced some issues that need to be noted before signing up for an upgrade
- 1. Because some third-party applications are incompatible with Android 8.0, and this application may not work properly after upgrading. It is recommended that you try to update the application to the latest version of Huawei Application Market.
- 2. Make sure your phone does not have ROOT.
- 3. Users who sign up for the beta activity should ensure that the current mobile version is the baseline version of the recruitment. (How to check the version number: Settings -> About, check the version number information, if not currently on the baseline version, please upgrade to this version online first)
- The baseline version information for each product’s recruited beta is as follows: Mate 8 (B596), P9 (B399SP02), P9 Plus (B399SP01), Honor 8 (B396), Honor V8 (B397), Honor NOTE8 (B359), Honor Play 6X ( AL10/AL20/TL10/TL00 B381 and AL30/AL40 B160)

- 5, please be sure to pay attention to correctly submit beta account beta, otherwise, the application cannot be approved. The closed beta account is used for feedback during the closed beta period, which is different from pollen club accounts. Please use the combination of “digit + letter + special character” for the password, otherwise, the app will not be able to log in.
