Alfawise T1 Mini PC Review: Based on the Intel Gemini Lake & 4GB RAM\ M.2 SSD

Company Alfawise has released a new Mini-PC called Alfawise T1 based on the Intel Gemini Lake hardware platform with a Celeron N4100 processor. This 14-nanometer chip contains four processing cores with a nominal clock speed of 1.1 GHz (rising to 2.4 GHz in turbo mode). The integrated Intel UHD Graphics 600 is used for graphics processing. Mini-PC carries on board 4 GB of RAM and a flash chip eMMC with a capacity of 64 GB. Additionally, you can install a 2.5-inch drive and/or solid-state module M.2 2242 SSD.

    Design

It is almost identical to the Mini PC Beelink S1 powered by Intel Celeron N3450, which was launched recently. The dimensions are the same, the ports, buttons and expansion options are distributed in the same way. Only the logo, the color tone and the image on the top cover are different. We do not know for sure if in any way, Alfawise and Beelink are related or if they simply buy their cases and components from the same supplier. Anyway, it’s always nice to see another low-cost, low-power PC for people looking to build a home theater, a home server, a digital signage system or another device where size and price are more important than performance. In addition to all the above, its design is ideal to be placed behind a monitor, wall or on a piece of furniture through the VESA support that is included. In this way, the discomfort of not knowing how and where to place it is avoided. So you can easily assemble a workstation or compact entertainment.

The Alfawise T1 mini PC measures only 16 x 13.45 x 3.2 cm and weighs only 407 grams. It has, in the front, with a USB port type C, two USB 3.0, a MicroSDXC card reader and the start button of the machine. There is also a small LED indicator and a small hole that houses a microphone integrated into the motherboard. The latter will be used to control voice control applications such as Cortana. On the back, we discovered a Kensington Lock anti-theft port along with the reset switch, a 12-volt power input, a VGA port and an HDMI output. The Ethernet connector, the two additional USB 3.0 ports and the 3.5 mm headphone jack with microphone complete the device.

    Hardware

The Alfawise T1 mini PC comes with an Intel Celeron N410 0 chip. The Gemini-Lake x86 quad-core processor is capable of reaching 2.40GHz in turbo mode and includes an Intel UHD Graphics GPU with 12EU and a maximum speed of 700mhz which is capable of playing 4K @ 60fps video. The main memory has a size of 4GB of DDR4 RAM, while the storage memory eMMC 5.0 is 64 GB. On the other hand, we have an Intel3165 chip that provides us with Wifi 802.11 AC and Bluetooth 4.0. The adoption of all the above plus its Intel HD 600 graphics circuit will allow the solution to offer a video output capable of delivering an Ultra HD signal. Among the details of the specifications that we like most about this mini PC, we highlight its storage options since we have, on the one hand, its internal SATA bay for 2.5-inch drives located at the bottom and, on the other hand, an internal connector M.2 where we can connect another SSD with this interface.

    Features

This Mini PC is ideal for those looking for a familiar interface to use on a large screen TV. Setting it up is as easy as any TV Box and if you have any difficulty doing so, it’s just a matter of following the instructions in the manual. It also ships with a clean version of Windows 10 OS 64-bit. The device not only serves as a media center in your living room but can also perform some lightweight productivity tasks. Of course, remember that its biggest attraction is the ability to project content up to 4K and 60fps. The big favorite in this Mini PC is Cortana, the Microsoft AI that will be your best assistant. Thanks to it you can set reminders, recognize natural voice without the need to enter the keyboard and answer questions using information from the Bing search engine. Cortana is currently available in English, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese, depending on the software platform and the region in which it is used.

    Conclusion

Alfawise T1 Mini PC currently is exclusively selling on Gearbest.com It costs at $219.99, compared with other similar specs MINI PCs, it is more competitive and useful. Believe it or not. Try first.
